because of "burnout"? It's one thing to recognize the signs,
but managing to avoid burnout is the key. This session will
help you strategize to stay energized. You will learn to
recognize the signs of burnout in yourself and others,
determine how you can manage your professional life to avoid
burning out and develop an "anti-burnout" strategy for your
health and well-being. This breakout session will not be
repeated. |

| John Gilliam is a partner
in the Wichita law firm of Klenda, Mitchell, Austerman &
Zuercher. He represents creditors in litigation matters and
frequently handles collection matters. He currently heads up
the firm's collection department that collects in excess of
half a million dollars of bad debt each year. This session
covers: collection law and the collection game including
strategies for successful collections; Fair Debt Collection
Practices Act; Probate files and when to file a Petition for
Allowance of Demand; Questions and Answers. |

| Medical practices often
receive late and contradictory information on the actions of
Capitol Hill and the Administration affecting health care and
daily administrative burdens. This update will provide timely
information on the status of Medicare administrative
simplification, Medicare reimbursement, federal prompt
payment legislation, fraud and abuse, and HIPAA
implementation. The presentation will also address other hot
topics under consideration by Congress and federal regulatory
agencies. Jennifer serves as the Eastern & Southern Section
Government Affairs Representative for MGMA. She addresses
members' questions about the technical details of federal
legislative and regulatory issues as well as coordinates
grassroots efforts by MGMA members. |
