KURT MOSLEY

"Doctors
Are From Mars – Administrators Are
From Venus"
Hospitals and physicians have traditionally been wary
allies at best and outright competitors at worst. What are
the underlying tensions that cause physician/hospital
conflict, what are the consequences of this conflict, and how
can medical group executives help to address it? This timely
presentation examines these questions, presenting the
differing perspectives of both sides and suggesting common
ground where they can meet in the middle.
Kurt Mosley serves as Vice President of Business Development
for The MHA Group, the nation’s leading health care staffing
organization. He is nationally recognized as a leading
authority on a wide range of medical staffing issues and
trends including health care professional supply and demand
trends, physician-hospital relations, compensation, compliance
and related matters. A gradate of California State University,
Fullerton, Mr. Mosley spent several years in professional
baseball. He currently resides in Dallas, Texas. |

NATE REGIER

"The Power of Belief: Making the Placebo
Work For You"
Call it the placebo. Call it the self-fulfilling
prophecy. Call it self-efficacy. Whatever you call it,
people’s own beliefs in their capabilities are some of the
strongest predictors of work success, stress-tolerance,
performance under pressure, and susceptibility to illness.
Through powerful personal stories, entertaining anecdotes, and
even a few research findings, Dr. Regier will explore the
power of belief, and how to put the placebo to work for you.
Dr. Regier began his interest in working with people as the
son of missionary parents in Africa in the 1970s-80s. After
completing his bachelor degree at Bethel College, he worked
for several years as a mental health worker before completing
his PhD in clinical psychology at the University of Kansas.
Since 1999 he has worked with Prairie View’s Integrated Health
Services to promote better integration of mind, body and
spirit for medical patients, and has published and presented
national in the area of behavioral health/primary care
