| KMGMA Members Spotted
Networking! |
| |
As I walked outside of the
hotel, during a break, at the conference I was encouraged to
see a group of long time members engaged in a conversation
with a new member. It was apparent from the conversation that
these individuals were sharing their practice experiences with
this new member to solve a practice problem.
The new member indicated she was excited to finally find an
organization that not only provided an avenue for education
but found the members were helpful and friendly. Her
true excitement and actions are difficult for me to explain in
writing but whenever I have thought of her the past few weeks
it has made me smile.
Sometimes the members that have been in the organization for
several years take these things for granted and forget how
TERRIFIC the members of KMGMA are in supporting each other.During the 10+ years I have been a member of KMGMA I have
returned from every meeting with more knowledge than I had
three days prior. Often the educational value I received was
not from a speaker but from another member who shared their
knowledge and experience or offered support.
Although we may forget the name of the speaker who assisted us
in some area of our practice, I'm sure you all will agree that
you never forget the name of a member that provided you with
support or assistance when you most needed it. |

RE: CONFERENCES |
| |
Every spring and fall the
KMGMA executive board anxiously awaits the evaluation survey
results following the conference.
The evaluations are one of the ways to communicate educational
needs of the membership as well as letting us know how the
organization is meeting the needs of the individuals we serve.
Your comments are always appreciated, reviewed and taken into
consideration during the development of future conferences.
Feel free to contact any of the board members with your
comments or concerns. |
