The truths of our profession, called the body of knowledge for
medical practice management, are documented performance levels
of competency and responsibility.
ACMPE (American College of Medical Practice Executives) and
MGMA (Medical Group Management Association) has brought
together this body of knowledge. The College is the
standard-setting and certification body of MGMA.
Members of ACMPE and MGMA have a wide range of resources
available to medical practice managers dealing with medical
group practice issues.
These resources offer assistance and insight in areas of group
management.
Not only has the ACMPE brought the body of knowledge forward
to our profession, but it brings a pathway to professional
development and advancement.

certification program that yields respected credentials in our
